Creative Writing Workshops
Write reality, live the dream: a residential poetry week With Anne-Marie Fyfe
8 September - 14 September 2013
Poets have always been dreamers half-in/half-out-of-touch with reality: where better to rediscover your poet’s perspective on the actualité than at The Really Big Dream Company amidst Southern Burgundy’s dream landscape of sweeping hills, woods, lakes, Romanesque churches, chateaux, prehistoric caves and Cluny’s 10th-century abbey.
Between Montmelard & Dompierre-les-Ormes, Les Cerisiers, (‘The Cherry Trees’) a stonewalled house & barn set in rolling farmland offers accommodation, studio/workspace & a contemplative south-facing orchard where you can explore & expand your poetic gift through Anne-Marie Fyfe’s themed creative-writing workshops, and through supportive read-back/feed-back sessions with thoughts/discussions on what’s new & happening in poetry, where to publish & submit, favourite poets, where, what & whom to read…
Your dream is too beautiful for this world. - Alphonse de Lamartine (1790-1869, b. Macon, Burgundy)
