We’re thrilled to welcome back Chris Porter once again to Les Cerisiers for a wonderful week of inspirational quilting.
Just as the autumn colours blend and contrast, so you can be enthused to do the same in fabric.

Over five days take pleasure together in the golds and bronzes as the leaves of the trees and vines assume their beautiful autumn foliage.

Chris will have a selection of autumnal quilts you can make using a variety of different techniques including tessellations. All you have to do is start collecting your autumnal fabrics now; oranges, reds, shades of brown and green and look out for some leafy or grape fabrics you can use for borders. Add some blue and the sky is the limit.

Christine is renowned worldwide, not only as a prolific designer and maker of quilts, but also as a teacher and judge. Her designs are mostly inspired by medieval and Victorian floor tiles and she has written three books about them; "Quilt Designs from Decorative Floor Tiles", "Tessellation Quilts" and "Viva Venezia"!
She has also appeared on the American HGTV programme "Simply Quilts" as well as the popular The Quilt Show with Ricky Timms and Alex Anderson on the internet.
Christine has won awards for her quilts in Britain and the USA. As well as teaching and lecturing around the world, Christine has made four instructional DVDs. She recently won the 2010 Amy Emms award for services to British Quilting.

The event takes place in our beautifully renovated barn and accommodation is either at the house on site or at our neighbouring accommodation with all meals taken at the workshop venue. All food is home grown, home made or locally sourced.
As our house guests we would like you to get the most from your stay. The atmosphere is friendly and informal and the number of quilters is kept to 8 to ensure you receive the individual attention you desire.
